At FEU, we want every character to be unique. And your character class is one of the ways you can do this. That's why we use custom classes.
Of course, if you wish to be a class from the main games, that is totally acceptable as well!
Classes are divided into tiers: Base, Advanced, and Paragon.
Base Classes receive 3 skills: one at level 1, one at level 10, and one at level 20.
Advanced Classes receive 3 skills: one at level 1, one at level 10, and one at level 20.
Paragon Classes receive 3 skills: one at level 1, one at level 10, and one at level 20.
See the Skills topic for details on Skills.
In order to advance from one Tier to the next, you must reach Level 20 in your current class, and then activate a Master Seal. However, you cannot activate a Master Seal DURING an RP. Instead, you must wait until the topic and battle comes to an end. Because you will need to design the class yourself, this is to prevent people from slowing a thread down during this process. It also means you will have more time to consider what to do with your promotion. It also prevents the "canon" from being muddled with outside influence. If, for example, you would promote because of EXP earned from an event, then it wouldn't make much sense for your character to suddenly promote in the middle of a battle seemingly out of nowhere.
There are 4 "types" of classes: Infantry, Armored, Cavalry, and Flier.
Infantry classes start with a Movement of 5.
Armored classes start with a Movement of 4. They also start with 3 bonus stats, but are weak to certain weapons.
Cavalry classes start with a Movement of 6. However, they are weak to certain weapons, and slowed down more severely by certain types of terrain (eg forest or sand).
Flier classes start with a Movement of 5, but can move over terrain that is otherwise inaccessible by the other classes. However, they are weak to certain weapons (most notably Bows). They are also weak to 1 type of magic, determined by their flying mount (Wind for Pegasus, Thunder for Wyverns).
When you create your class, you'll need to assign it a Type. This will determine your character's base movement speed.
If you choose to be a Cavalry or Flier, you can also choose to create your own type of mount. Perhaps you would rather ride a giant wolf or tiger, for instance, over a horse. If you choose to do this for a flying mount, then you will need to also specify what type of magic they are weak to.
